Over the past month, our focus has been on improving the economic system, aiming to provide players with a smoother, more engaging experience in the next version of RuneHero. Let’s take a look at the progress we’ve made!
Energy System Adjustments
Energy remains one of the most crucial mechanics in RuneHero, directly tied to all in-game progression and rewards.
To ensure all players can fully enjoy the game:
- Every player now automatically recovers 500 energy per day.
- Equipped Arcane Crystals grant an additional 300 energy per crystal per day.
- Players can also use the charging system to infuse each crystal with 700 energy, consuming a small amount of Dust.
With these changes, the daily maximum energy for a player is now:
500 + (300 + 700) × 5 = 5,500
This provides a balanced and flexible system that accommodates both casual and hardcore players.
Crystal Rental System
We’ve introduced a Crystal Rental System, allowing players to rent out surplus Arcane Crystals to others in exchange for passive income.
For renters, this also alleviates the economic pressure of purchasing crystals outright, creating a healthier and more collaborative economy within the community.
Removal of Rune Shards
We realized that having too many types of currencies in the game could lead to confusion, so we’ve removed Rune Shards entirely.
From now on, Soul Shards will serve as the primary currency for trading and transactions within the game. This simplification improves clarity and makes the economy more intuitive.
PvEvP Scene Development
We’ve built a richly detailed new PvEvP area, combining competitive and cooperative gameplay in a single, exciting environment.
Players can expect to encounter dynamic objectives, dangerous enemies, and opportunities for both teamwork and rivalry in this new zone.
Quest System
To help new players ease into the world of RuneHero, we’ve developed a Quest System.
Players can now follow a structured main questline that gradually introduces the game’s mechanics, systems, and lore step by step — perfect for both newcomers and returning players looking to refresh their skills.
Server Selection Enhancements
We’ve optimized the server selection process.
Now, players will choose their preferred server before creating a character, and each character will be bound to its chosen server — ensuring a more consistent and reliable experience.
Stash System
We’ve implemented a Stash feature, allowing players to store more items safely and keep their inventories organized.
This added storage helps players better manage their equipment and resources without worry.
Final Thoughts
This month’s work has been all about laying the foundation for a stronger, more player-friendly economy and infrastructure. With these systems in place, we’re excited to see how you’ll take advantage of the new opportunities in the upcoming version of RuneHero.
As always, thank you for your continued support — and stay tuned for even more updates soon!
